How I can help with Stress Management

I offer a holistic approach to stress management which involves, positive visualisation, hypnotherapy, massage, goal setting and positive affirmations.  It is a wonderfully relaxing experience over 6 weeks where you will learn techniques to manage the day to day stresses in your life.

What is Stress?

Stress is a negative physical/nervous/emotional way that is a response to feeling in some way overwhelmed.  Usually it is caused when the comprehended demands placed upon us seem to outweigh our power and ability to cope.

Stress can be caused by two particular things.  Primarily it is down to whether you believe situations around you seem to be worthy of anxiety.  Then it is down to how your body responds to your thought methods.  This inherent and instinctive stress response to unexpected incidents is widely known as ‘fight or flight’.

The effects of stress

The effects of stress can be emotional, physical or psychological.  Signs of stress are different in each person, with somebody expressing more physical signs, like high blood pressure or fatigue and others expressing emotional or psychological signs like depression or irritability.

Some signs of stress:

  • Irritability
  • Headaches
  • Loss of appetite or over eating
  • Easily angered or frustrated
  • Depressed mood
  • Anxiety
  • Fatigue
  • Trouble falling or staying asleep
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Muscle aches
  • Rapid heartbeat
  • Upset stomach
  • Heart Problems

My stress management programme promotes taking care of yourself.  Listening to your body and taking action to manage your levels of stress in order to create positive change that might just improve your health and general wellbeing.

AvenaCalm (Avena sativa) drops is a licensed herbal remedy which can be useful when you are facing mild stress or experiencing mild anxiety. It can also be used to help you sleep

Vogel’s Stress Relief Daytime is a herbal remedy containing extracts of freshly harvested, organically grown Valerian and Hops. Use Stress Relief Daytime to help you cope with the pressures that can sometimes build up around you when you are busy, reducing symptoms of stress and mild anxiety

Passiflora Complex is a herbal tincture containing Passiflora incarnate and Avena sativa. It is a food supplement which is particularly useful for supporting those prone to worrying or feeling ‘under pressure’, helping to maintain a healthy response to stress.  Only freshly harvested, organically grown Passiflora and Avena sativa herbs are used to produce Passiflora Complex tincture.
